“STOP YOUTH HUNGER” paddle and prance

Help the Beaver County YMCA Stop Youth Hunger right here in Beaver County.

Race Date: Saturday, August 13

Looking for a way to combine both running and stand-up paddle boarding? We have partnered with BVP Board Shop to bring the community both recreational sports in one fun event. This is a family friendly event and will NOT be timed. Children must be 12 years old and be accompanied by a parent during the entire event. We have two different options for you to choose from.

*Long Course – paddle 1 mile up the Beaver River, run 1 mile then paddle back down the Beaver River

*Short Course-paddle 1/2 mile up the Beaver River and 1/2 mile back to the starting point. Then 1 mile run.

Don’t own a paddle board? No Problem! BVR Board Shop has you covered with both a life jacket and a paddleboard (no additional charge). Life jackets MUST be worn while in the water.

Fee: $25

Must register online before August 1st to receive a race shirt.

The YMCA takes COVID-19 very seriously. We will do everything in our power to offer a safe and fun event for all participants. We have taken several steps to ensure the safety of all participants, staff members, volunteers, and spectators. These steps in accordance with PA-state government & CDC guidelines include:

Encouraging social distancing

Disinfecting commonly touched surfaces

Providing pre-packaged food and drinks

Making hand sanitizer readily available
