School Age Care


Before and After School programs

During the school year, we provide before and after school care for students in Kindergarten through age 12 who attend New Brighton, Hopewell, and Baden Academy. The children are provided with a FREE after-school meal and an opportunity to complete their homework. They also enjoy gross motor, outdoor time, games and fun activities, and much more. Our school-age sites provide care from 6:30 AM-6:00 PM and are located at the following:


  • New Brighton site: Beaver County YMCA
    • Before School begins at 6:00 AM (includes Breakfast)
    • After School care until 6:00 PM (includes snack)


  • Hopewell site: Hopewell Memorial Jr. High School, Room 115
    • Before School begins at 6:30 AM 
    • After School care until 6:00 PM (includes snack)


  • Baden site: Baden Academy, Gymnasium
    • Before School begins at 6:30 AM 
    • After School care until 6:00 PM (includes snack)


To register, please click on the school district link on the side of the page.  After registering online, you will receive an email conformation with additional paperwork.  When you receive the email, please print out,complete, and turn in the attached packet to the YMCA by dropping it off at the Member Service Desk, emailing it to, or mailing to  2236 Third Ave. New Brighton PA 15066, Attn: School Age Director 
Completed paperwork and child physicals can also be turned in at our Before/After School Open Houses:
                 Baden Academy: Friday, August 10, 2018 – 9:30-11:00 & 2:00-3:30
                 Hopewell: TBD
                 New Brighton: August 23, 2018 – 3:00-5:00


Scheduled 2hr delay and Early Dismissals

Our staff will be scheduled to provide care for the additional times for an additional $15 fee

In-Service Day Camp


In-service care is available to all members of the community in need of school age care. We offer In-Service care following the New Brighton, Baden, and Hopewell school calendars.  All In-Service care is provided at the Beaver County YMCA in New Brighton.  The hours of operation are 6:00am -6:00pm.  


Children will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities including swimming, gymnasium time, arts and crafts, science, and so much more!  Each program includes breakfast and afternoon snack.   All proper paperwork must be submitted prior to the date of care.

Fee: $27 Full day of care (more than 5 hours); $15 Half day (less than 5 hours)



School-Age registration can be completed online at Once completed please expect, an email with our registration packet. All necessary paperwork, including a physical must be completed 1 week prior to your child’s start date.



Summer School-Age Camp


Each summer, The Beaver County YMCA holds a fun filled summer camp program for children in Kindergarten – Age 12. The program will be offered at 2 locations. Our home location at the Beaver County YMCA New Brighton, PA and offsite at Christ Alliance Church Aliquippa, PA. Summer counselors will be creating an atmosphere of fun both inside and out! Water fun, art projects, sports, and even kid versus counselor activities will all come into play for your child to have the best summer yet! The program will have weekly themes, special on site programs, and off site field trips! In addition, our campers at the YMCA location will swim each afternoon. Our offsite campers will visit the Beaver County YMCA every Friday for the opportunity to swim.
